When I heard of the news of the awful tragedy at the WTC I was actually on the phone with Nick who had called to tell me what was happening. He was in the Newark airport about to fly home....I immediately turned on the television and I believe I have had it on ever since. My heart has been broken for all the lives lost in such a needless act, and my heart has been encouraged by the spirit of the American people. It seems that tragedy has brought out the best in many of us. In LA, it seems people are friendlier and more concerned about their neighbors, which is refreshing!!! I know many of you feel helpless but we can do something...we can pray!!!! The only thing that is going to change this world and make it a better place is prayer! When God's people pray...He answers!!!! The power of prayer is the most amazing aspect of my walk with God...without my daily prayer life I would be so confused and frustrated with life. Sometimes it seems He does not answer in the way or time we have in our minds but God's timing is perfect and we have to trust Him. The scriptures promise us that "no weapon formed against us shall prosper if we as His people humble ourselves and pray".
